Introduction and update from Philip Tweedie:
It does not seem like a year since we first launched the Lakeside development to the Coleraine public. Farrans the developers have stayed true to their word in terms of their commitment to Lakeside.
The internal infrastructure is now really beginning to take shape and anybody visiting the development can recognise the importance they have placed on the street scapes. The easy option in the current economic climate would be to make savings in costs but this has not happened at Lakeside.
The first phase has been extremely popular with all of the three bedroom homes on release having been sold plus many of the two bedroom apartments and houses. The design of the homes at Lakeside was aimed at creating properties that provided good living accommodation at affordable prices, which allowed the best possible mortgage packages along with a highly efficient and economic cost in terms of day to day heating and comfort. Any of the occupiers will confirm that for them, it is a concept that has worked.
This time last year we were positive about what we were bringing to the market place. This year we can continue to work with this positive mindset and great confidence as we continue to build and move forward.
Congratulations to our Site Manager, Stephen Foster. Lakeside is only one year old and has already won an NHBC Pride In The Job Award.
